residential development for 2 new dwellings, portsmouth road, milford

The client purchased the site with a Planning Permission in place for 2 no. 3 bedroom dwellings, and appointed HRP to prepare the detailed design drawings and production information for the construction of the dwellings.

The internal footprint of the units was re-planned to make better use of the internal space while retaining the external envelope as approved, and maximising the potential of the building to the site.

The accommodation was designed to be 1.5 storeys to the front and single storey to the rear, with the re-design achieving a more spacious internal layout. Careful negotiations with the Local Authority over materials resulted in an aesthetically pleasing facade that blends in well with its surroundings.

The project was completed in October 2010.
